
DIA's concession program consists of more than 171,000 square feet of concession space and more than 140 merchants. In 2012, the concession program generated $281 million in annual gross sales, $1,650 per square foot and $10.60 per enplaning passenger. Concession companies at DIA are selected through a competitive proposal process. When the airport has concession space available to lease, the Commercial Business Innovation section issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) document that describes the space(s) available, concept(s) desired, City of Denver requirements for operating at the airport, as well as required submittal documents.
