ON-CALL ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES

Description: The Department of Aviation for the City and County of Denver is requesting Proposals for the purposes of selecting a firm(s) to provide architectural, engineering, and cost estimating services on an as needed basis. The task scopes of work are defined on an individual basis and will include modifications and additions to existing airport facilities and systems. These services will include facilities evaluation; testing; performing studies; architectural programming; providing preliminary designs; aircraft parking layouts including regional jet facilities; site inspections; baggage handling systems coordination; gate systems; environmental; construction documents, plans, specifications, cost estimates preparation and construction administration for various concourse additions, improvements and modifications. Two agreements will be awarded.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, FEBRUARY 13, 2008 and must be submitted to Nathan Jones via email at nathan.jones@diadenver.net

Pre-Proposal Conference: No Pre-Proposal Conference will be held for this project.

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: Professional design and construction services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (D.R.M.C.), and all Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Utilization adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. directs the Director of DSBO to establish a project goal for expenditures on professional design and construction services work contracted by the City and County of Denver. The specific goal for this project is 20% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation.
