Concourse C Fire Alarm Replacement

The Department of Aviation, City and County of Denver, has issued an Invitation for Bids for the construction project named above. Complete contract documents, including specifications, are available on the DIA Contract Procurement website at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/bids.asp beginning January 28, 2014.

SEALED BIDS will be due no later than 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 Local Time, delivered in the triple wide trailer, located within the DIA South Campus at 7128 North Trussville Street, Unit A, Denver, CO 80249 (F.K.A. 27301 E. 71st Ave, Unit #2). Bids must be time stamped no later than 2:00 p.m., immediately after which a public bid opening will commence. Any bids to be submitted more than one hour prior to Bid Opening must be submitted at the office of Business Management Services, attention Nathan Jones, Room 8810, Airport Office Building (AOB), Denver International Airport, 8500 PeŮa Blvd., Denver, CO 80249-6340.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND INSPECTION will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the triple wide trailer, located within the DIA South Campus at 7128 North Trussville Street, Unit A, Denver, CO 80249 (F.K.A. 27301 E. 71st Ave, Unit #2). A site visit will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference. You must be pre-registered 4 business days prior to the pre-bid meeting. Once pre-approved, at the time of the bid walk, the non-badged individuals will need to have their driverís license or passport with them at that time. Please email the following information to firealarm.replacement@flydenver.com : Full Legal Name, Date of Birth, Driverís License or Passport Number with State of Issuance and Company/Organization Name. If you are possession of a valid DIA badge please have it available.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK AND COST ESTIMATE:

Installation of owner provided fire alarm devices in Concourse C, also includes removal of existing devices that will be turned over to DIA Life Safety. Provide and install the conduit and wire to connect owner provided fire alarm devices to fire alarm panels in Concourse C. Provide support for fire alarm testing and commissioning in Concourse C.

PREQUALIFICATIONS: Each bidder must be pre-qualified in the category of 2(a) Buildings: General OR 2(d) Buildings: Electrical at the $1,500,000.00 level. Prequalification applications are due at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. Prequalification applications must be submitted to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Department 506, Denver, Colorado 80202. MINORITY/WOMEN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE GOAL: Pursuant to Article III, Division 1 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code, the Project goal of 15% must be met with certified participants, or through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort. For compliance with good faith requirements, the M/WBE percentage solicitation level required for this project is 100%.

As its best interests may appear, the Manager of Aviation reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bids.
