REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

SWITCHGEAR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Denver, Colorado September 15, 2014

Description: The Department of Aviation for the City and County of Denver is requesting proposals for the purposes of selecting a firm(s) to provide the economic and operational benefits resulting from an effectively executed preventive maintenance and testing program of essential Denver International Airport (DIA) electric equipment. Specifically, this will entail the testing and preventive maintenance of the Electric Power Switchgears and related equipment at DIA. The Electric Power System of DIA has a large number of 480 volt switchgears and some 4160 volt switchgears.

Documents Available: Request for Proposal (RFP) documents will be available on the DIA Contract Procurement website at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp beginning September 15, 2014.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, October 16, 2014 and must be submitted to Matt Tachibana, Business Management Services Office, Room 8810, Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 1:00 PM, September 25, 2014 in the triple wide trailer, located within the DIA South Campus at 7128 North Trussville Street, Unit A, Denver, CO 80249 (F.K.A. 27301 E. 71st Ave, Unit #2).

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: Professional design and construction services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (D.R.M.C.), and all Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Utilization adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. directs the Director of DSBO to establish a project goal for expenditures on professional design and construction services work contracted by the City and County of Denver. The specific goal for this project is 0% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation.
