Gate Apron Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvements 2017-2018 Design and CA Services

Description: Denver International Airport (DEN) concourses are in need of pavement replacement and drainage improvements at and around the gates. The purpose of this project is to replace deteriorating pavement, mitigate apron drainage issues and ponding, and prevent water infiltration into the concourse basements. In addition to providing new apron pavement, there will also be utility and infrastructure work which includes the following; installation of a new drainage system, utility vault adjustments, demolition of baggage tunnels and dog houses, removal of deicing tanks, replacement of sand-oil interceptors, and replacement of grease traps. This Contract is for design and construction administration services. It will be for a 3 year period. The time period for this contract is 2016 and 2017 for design services and construction administration services. This will also include the 2017 and 2018 construction seasons. This will be a Not-to-Exceed (NTE) task order based contract. Coordination with airlines, concessionaires, airport operations, and ground transportation will be critical to the success of this project.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, August 27, 2015 and must be submitted to Cristina Lopez, Business Management Services Office, Room 8810, Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 11:00 AM, LOCAL TIME, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the triple wide trailer, located within the DIA South Campus at 7128 North Trussville Street, Unit A, Denver, CO 80249 (F.K.A. 27301 E. 71st Ave, Unit #2).

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: Professional design and construction services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (D.R.M.C.), and all Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Utilization adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. directs the Director of DSBO to establish a project goal for expenditures on professional design and construction services work contracted by the City and County of Denver. The specific goal for this project is 20% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation.
