2016 On-Call Environmental Planning

Description: The Department of Aviation for the City and County of Denver is requesting proposals for the purposes of selecting a firm(s) to provide consulting services for environmental planning and sustainability activities at DEN.

Environmental planning activities include compliance with the requirements of FAA Order 5050.4B – National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Instructions for Airport Actions. These actions evaluate new development, redevelopment, and construction activities and can result in varying levels of environmental analysis and review by the FAA.

Sustainability activities include work to support green building, sustainability reporting, carbon emission reporting, and development of a Sustainability Management System to support the airport’s sustainability objectives.

Documents Available: Request for Proposal (RFP) documents will be available on the DIA Contract Procurement website at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp beginning Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, Thursday, March 24, 2016 and must be submitted to Gerard Stafford, Business Management Services Office, Room 8810, Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 10 AM, LOCAL TIME, Monday, March 7, 2016 in the triple wide trailer, located within the DIA South Campus at 7128 North Trussville Street, Unit A, Denver, CO 80249 (F.K.A. 27301 E. 71st Ave, Unit #2).

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: It has been determined that this project is not subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code, (D.R.M.C.) and the Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Program’s Rules and Regulations adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO) and therefore, will not have M/WBE goals assigned; however, the City encourages the use of qualified small business concerns doing business that are owned and controlled by, economically or socially disadvantaged individuals.
