REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
OCIP-ROCIP INSURANCE BROKER AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

Description: Denver International Airport is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified owner controlled Insurance brokers and administrators to market and administer an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (R/OCIP) for construction of various large projects throughout the airport including land side and air side. The intent is to award a Broker of Record agreement September 2016 for a five-year construction program using an Owner Controlled Insurance Program. It is DEN’s intention to award the successful broker a five-year contract with two one-year optional extensions.
The selected R/OCIP insurance broker will be responsible for marketing at least the minimum coverages normally associated with an R/OCIP, i.e., general liability, excess liability and workers’ compensation. Builder’s risk and other ancillary coverages such as pollution liability and professional liability may be part of the marketing assignment. Compensation for any ancillary placements will remain separate from compensation for the R/OCIP placement.
NOTE THAT YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO CONTACT ANY MARKETS AT THIS TIME REGARDING COVERAGES FOR DEN. FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will not be held for this RFP. Written questions are due by 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 and shall be submitted to Cristina Lopez via Email: email@example.com in WORD format or in the body of an email (not pdf). All questions and answers will be posted on the DEN Contract Procurement website at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp following the deadline for submittal of questions.
In the event the City desires further information or clarification of the proposals received, the City may, at its option, elect to interview one or more of the Proposers.
Proposals Due: All proposals must be sealed and identified as to content and be received by the above-named Denver International Airport Office not later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 Proposals received after this time will be rejected by the City and returned to the Proposer unopened. Proposals shall be valid for 90 days after the deadline for delivering the proposal.
Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation
The project below has been reviewed by DSBO and it has been determined that it is not subject to the DSBO Ordinance and therefore will not have an M/WBE goal assigned.
While the work performed under this contract is not subject to the DSBO Ordinance, the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity encourages all participants in City projects to seek independent partnerships with SBEs, MBEs, WBEs, and other business enterprises in supply chain activities, prime/subcontractor partnerships, and joint ventures for all contracts and purchase orders.
