REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

ON-CALL GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

CONTRACT NO. 201735074

Description: The Department of Aviation for the City and County of Denver is requesting proposals for the purposes of selecting firms to provide on-call general construction services at Denver International Airport. DEN needs more contracting capacity on call to complete currently planned capital improvements to support changes to improve the operation of the terminal, customer growth, and infrastructure that requires upgrading. Our intention is to contract with multiple On Call General Construction Contracts at appropriate development intervals to avoid gaps of service from general construction services. Task Order based work to complete projects that follow the capital improvement plan. This Agreement will also be drafted to include design - build tasks as an option. The Proposals will have designers as part of the Construction Team. Work will vary from carpet to CUP, from apron paving to Jetbridges, from inside to outside.

Documents Available: Request for Proposal (RFP) documents will be available on the DEN Contract Procurement website at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp by July 18, 2017.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM LOCAL TIME, AUGUST 22, 2017, and must be submitted to Tony Deconinck, Business Management Services Office, Room 8810, Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, AUGUST 3, 2017, in the triple wide trailer, located within the DEN South Campus at 7128 North Trussville Street, Unit A, Denver, CO 80249 (F.K.A. 27301 E. 71st Ave, Unit #2).

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: Professional design and construction services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code, (D.R.M.C.) and all Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Utilization and Equal Employment Opportunity Rules and Regulations adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Pursuant to Article III, Division 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code, the Project goal of 25% M/WBE must be met with certified participants, or through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort. For compliance with good faith requirements, the M/WBE percentage solicitation level required for this project is 100%.

The Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity urges all participants in City professional design and construction services projects to assist in achieving these goals.
