Description: Denver International Airport (DEN) intends to execute design work on multiple structures and deferred maintenance projects. Tasks may consist of design for structural repair, mechanical upgrades (heat, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) controls), and other technical related services for design development, facility condition assessments, construction drawings and specifications. We intend to award (3) contracts valued at $1.5M each for a total contract capacity of $4.5M.

Documents Available: Request for Proposal (RFP) documents will be available on the DEN Contract Procurement website at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp beginning July 9, 2019.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME on August 15, 2019 and must be submitted to April Hannon, Contract Services (Procurement), Administration Office Building (AOB), Room 8810, Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80249-6340.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 11:30 AM LOCAL TIME on July 17, 2019, in the City Conference Room. At this conference, City representatives will explain the opportunity and answer questions regarding this RFP, including any written questions submitted to the City prior to the conference. The City will not answer any telephone inquiries about this RFP. Written questions are due by 2:00 PM LOCAL TIME on August 1, 2019, and shall be submitted to April Hannon via email at [email protected] in WORD format (no PDFs please) or in the body of an email. All questions and answers will be posted on the DEN Contract Procurement website (Procurement website) at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp following the deadline for submittal of questions.

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: Professional design and construction services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code, (D.R.M.C.) and all Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Utilization and Equal Employment Opportunity Rules and Regulations adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. directs the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity to establish a project goal for expenditures on professional design

and construction services work contracted by the City and County of Denver. The specific goal

for this project is 5% Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE).

Project goals must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-65, D.R.M.C. or

through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort under Section 28-67, D.R.M.C. For

compliance with good faith effort requirements under Section 28-67 (b) (2) a. the proposer must solicit the interest of 100% of the firms certified as MBEs and WBEs in the scopes of work of the contract.
