The Great Hall Project is a truly transformational project that will deliver substantial improvements across a wide range of areas of Denver International Airportís Jeppesen Terminalís Great Hall. The project will:

  • Improve airport safety and security
  • Rebalance processing facilities to optimize the terminal for the future
  • Transform the passenger experience
  • Enhance operational efficiency
  • Optimize space to increase revenues
  • Upgrading aging systems, facilities and conveyances

This exciting Public Private Partnership (P3) project has a carefully phased four-year construction program led by Great Hall Builders, which will include upgrades for the entire Jeppesen Terminal, including escalators and elevators, restrooms and other infrastructure that is now more than 22-years old. This will be followed by a 30-year operational period during which Great Hall Partners will be managing the concession operations on levels 5 and 6 of the terminal within this new world-class environment.

As part of the vision for the Great Hall Project, the Great Hall Partners and Great Hall Builders are committed to utilizing local subcontractors, suppliers and concession vendors including Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBEs) and Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE).

The City and County of Denver's Division of Small Business Opportunity has established the following MWBE participation goals on this project:

  • 33% of the Design/Professional Services costs
  • 18% of the Construction costs

CAD Tech/Revit Drafting Perform advanced and specialized drafting (2D and 3D) to support design activities. Develop graphic presentations that include design features. Prepare layouts, drawings and designs, from detailed sketches and/or drawings made by technicians, designers or technical professional, converting paper documents into computerized files. Design Quality Management Responsible for all quality related Design activities in accordance with the Technical requirements and the Design Quality Management Plan. Manage, review and audit the design of the project including schematic design phase, detailed design phase , construction documents, permit drawings and issue for construction design packages. Document Control Coordination Maintain internal document management system. Compile and maintain control of records and related files to release blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents to production and other operating departments. Electrical Quality Control Inspection Supervision of project documents as material submittals, shop drawings, methods of installation, site delivery inspections for low voltage, lighting control, BMS, communications, CCTV and fire alarm. Engineering Coordination for MEP Specialize in one of the two MEP areas: 1) Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection and/or 2) Electrical, IT, and Fire Alarm & Detection. Perform engineering coordination services for design and construction of the MEP systems of the project.Analyze and coordinate the overall MEP design and engineering as well as the feasibility and compliance of the MEP according to specification. CMF 4,000 SF interior buildout of an existing unfinished shell space on Level 3 of the Terminal for relocation of the Central Monitoring Facility. Scope of work includes new painted drywall partitions; ACT and painted drywall ceilings; carpet flooring over raised access flooring; new restrooms and a breakroom; new pre-action fire suppression system; new plumbing and HVAC systems throughout, including CRAH units for the Server Room; and new lighting and electrical and data systems throughout. Curtain Wall Preparation for the selective demolition of existing Jeppesen Terminal curtain wall, automatic entrances and entry vestibules. Furnishing and installing new curtain wall assemblies at the office expansion along the AOB corridor. Furnishing and installing new entry vestibules at the Jeppesen Terminal Level 6 passenger drop-off including curtain wall, storefront and automatic entry door assemblies. TBD 3/27/2018
