Noise Management
![]() Authorities at Denver International Airport have developed Denver Municipal Airport System Rules and Regulations, Part 210 Noise Abatement and Runway Procedures, which specifies aircraft operating procedures designed to minimize noise impact in the surrounding area. This rule incorporates a Preferential Runway Use Program for all jet aircraft operating at DIA as well as a more restrictive set of procedures for aircraft types designated by the rule as “Noise Critical.” Application of the procedures contained in the rule has significantly reduced overall noise impact. The DIA Noise Abatement Office continually monitors compliance with these procedures and works with the appropriate organizations or agencies to improve compliance where possible.
Current Projects For more information or questions regarding these advisories, please call the Noise Hotline at (303) 342-2380, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.to speak with a noise officer.
