Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit – MANDATORY

A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 11:00 AM Local Time on April 6, 2020, in the City Conference Room, located on the 6th floor of the Jeppesen Terminal at Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Boulevard, Denver, CO 80249. A Mandatory Site Visit will immediately follow the Pre-Proposal conferences. At this conference, DEN representatives will explain the opportunity and answer questions regarding this RFP, including any written questions submitted to DEN prior to the conference. A representative of your firm must attend this Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit. Failure to attend a mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit will disallow Proposers from submitting a proposal in response to this RFP.

Registration is required in order to participate in the site visit. Registration for the pre-proposal conference closes on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM Local Time.

RFP Questions

DEN will not answer any telephone inquiries about this RFP. Written questions are due by 2:00 PM LOCAL DENVER TIME on April 20, 2020, and shall be submitted to LaQuisha Shaw via email at [email protected] in WORD format (no PDFs please) or in the body of an email. All questions and answers will be posted on the DEN Contract Procurement website (Procurement website) at http://business.flydenver.com/bizops/rfp.asp following the deadline for submittal of questions.

Proposal Submittal Location

Two electronic copies (one each on separate flash drives) of the proposal shall be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Proposers as described in Section IV of this RFP. Proposals must be addressed and forwarded to the following location: LaQuisha Shaw, Contract Services, Airport Office Building (AOB), Room 8810, Denver International Airport, 8500 Peña Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80249-6340. Other written correspondence regarding this RFP shall also be sent to this address.

Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Participation

Contracts and Purchase Orders for covered goods and covered services made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article V, of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code, (D.R.M.C.) and the Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Program’s Rules and Regulations adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Article V, Section 126 of Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. provides for the adoption of an MWBE Business Enterprise Goals Program to be administered by DSBO. The specific goal for this project is:

30% Minority and Woman Business Enterprise (MWBE) Participation

Project goals must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-127, D.R.M.C. or through the demonstration of a good faith effort under Section 28-128 D.R.M.C. For compliance with good faith requirements under Section 28-128(b), the MWBE percentage solicitation level required for this project is 100%.

The Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity urges all participants in City covered goods and covered services projects to assist in achieving these goals.

Description

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services for the Main Terminal, A Concourse, B Concourse and C Concourse. Services to be provided by the selected vendor include general janitorial services, restroom cleaning, carpet cleaning and floor care/cleaning. The selected vendor will also provide personnel to perform snow removal duties.
